"VINTAGE FRINGED EDGE RUG WITH AN IMAGE OF ANCIENT ROME (I THINK.) THE RUG BELONGED TO MY PARENTS, WHO WERE MARRIED IN 1952. I WAS BORN IN THE MID 60'S, AND I'VE SEEN PICTURES OF MYSELF AS A BABY WITH THIS RUG IN THE BACKGROUND, BUT I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY HOW OLD IT IS. IT WAS NEVER PUT ON THE FLOOR; ALWAYS USED AS A DECORATIVE PIECE DRAPED ACROSS THE BACK OF A SOFA. THE RUG MEASURES 19-3/4" X 44-3/4". I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE FABRIC IS. THERE ARE NO HOLES OR TEARS, BUT THERE ARE SOME BLACK MARKINGS IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER, WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS. FOR SEVERAL DECADES, THE RUG HAS BEEN STORED IN AN ATTIC"
